Be the absolute coolest kid on the block with this out-of-production Raleigh Chopper mk3 model bicycle given to Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day as a gift when it was hot off the production line.

This bike is in mint condition, and you won't find another one like it!

The Raleigh Chopper muscle bike was first produced in the late 60s as a nod to the motorcycles made in the US around the same time. It became the UK's most popular children's bike, then a cult classic, still fondly remembered by those who were kids in the UK in the 1970s.

VISIONARY ARKANSANS 2014 - JEFF MATIKA

Jeff Matika moved to Little Rock in 1991. "I kind of thought this was going to be a stepping stone," he said recently. "I'd come here for a couple of years and figure out where I wanted to go." He fell into the music scene, playing shows and hanging out at Vino's until he got a job there, which he kept for 10 years. He toured the country in beloved local bands like Ashtray Babyhead and the Magic Cropdusters, before settling down in the 2000s with an IT job. "I had decided, I'm going to play music forever," he said, "but as a casual thing." Then he got a call from Green Day.

THE MOST POIGNANT GREEN DAY COVER

    August 31, 2014

In an Indian shelter for abused girls, healing comes in the form of singing to Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

MANILA, Philippines – A group of young girls gather around guitarist Druv Visdanath as he strums to rock band Green Day's hit "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." It might not be the most melodious rendition there is, but it is one of the most heartrending covers.

“Many of these children have been abused or have suffered trauma. Music helps to engage them, it helps them to relax,” his colleague Faith Gonsalves says.

The cultural impact of The Simpsons is immeasurable, as you can tell from checking out Joey "Sideshow Joe" DeGroot's list on the number of bands that named songs (or themselves) after references to the animated classic. Celebrities of all stripes realize the kind of power that such a program packs so they'll readily appear as guest stars. The number of musical guests in the history of The Simpsons is huge, but we've whittled it down to nine of the best in honor of the current marathon of every episode currently happening on FXX.

THE 100 BEST ALTERNATIVE ROCK SONGS OF 1994

    August 26, 2014

From Beck to Bush, the bubble-grunge, pop-punk, and trip-hop that made '94 classic by SPIN Staff In 1994, the distinction between "mainstream" and "alternative" evaporated. Green Day and the Offspring brought hook-heavy punk to the Billboard charts, middle-of-the-road acts such as Soul Asylum and Live helped calcify "alt-rock" into a blockbuster radio format, and Nirvana's fate as future classic-rock legends was sealed with Kurt Cobain's death. Beck rebranded "loser" as a badge of honor and Trent Reznor said he wanted to... well, you know.
